Joe Wilcox > There are abberations in nearly every picture. Purple fringing is hugely apparent at 100-percent view.
Joe Wilcox > For this image, I reduced vibrance and saturation except for reds. The main soccer ball stands out better that way. Like the other pics, I edited with Photoshop Lightroom 2.
Joe Wilcox > I last came to the swap meet with the Sigma DP1, which I no longer have. That camera took stunning images.
Joe Wilcox > Here I greatly reduced saturation and vibrance for blues and somewhat for greens, to better emphasize the four boots in the focal depth of field.
Joe Wilcox > I used a Canon 85mm prime lens to take these pictures. They should be sharper, even factoring for the depth of field created by the big aperture.
Joe Wilcox > I am somewhat dissatisfied with the Canon 40D. The first camera was defective. The one used here is the replacement.
Joe Wilcox > Clarity is remarkably good here with the 85mm prime lens. But look at the color abberations at 100-percent view. Purple fringing can be seen along the edges where the edges form the V-shape.
Joe Wilcox > The trip began, on Aug. 16, 2008, in the wrong place. I mistakenly got on highway 94, which brought us to Lemon Grove, where there is a Big Lots.
