Joe Wilcox > Another greeter welcomes buyers. Overall, I was disappointed by the pictures taken for the welcoming. Two problems: 1) This damn Washington Post photographer kept cutting in my field of view (I have lots of shots of the back of his head). At first I assumed coincidence, but he cut in front so often I'm now thinking intentional. 2) The 135mm prime lens was just too much. While great for the mall, the lens' focal length reached too far for the store's close quarters. I scouted the store a day earlier, but couldn't anticipate two lines of Apple employees squeezing the space tighter.
Joe Wilcox > I didn't submit quick snapshots like this one to eWEEK, because I didn't ask for permission to publish. No time. Besides taking pictures, I conducted interviews for a podcast. This young woman waited near the front of the line for an iPhone.

Joe Wilcox > This near identical image to the previous one is cropped from the top and edited for fill light. I'm in a quandary over the previous picture and others submitted to eWEEK. I was on the clock but used my equipment. I assume rights belong to the photographer (me) same as they would if eWEEK contracted the work.
